I figured since our last podcast was over 2 months ago, it was time for some new content here. Hey, maybe some folkfest fans will dig our previous and future podcasts!

The 2007 Ottawa Folk Festival runs from Thursday, August 16 to Sunday August 19 and is located at Brittania Park. The schedule can be downloaded in either PDF or RTF which you can print up for your reference. The weather forecast for the weekend looks to be PERFECT festival conditions.

Holding true to the meaning of the word ‘epic’, moe created a masterpiece known as Rebubula. Their studio version proves that a band can go into a rehearsal hall and cut a great track that is longer than it should be. On 02-23-02, inside the Tabernacle, within Atlanta, fans were treated to a percussive filled version. The Warts And All Volume 2 release allowed imagined lines from a banjo or mandolin to not be far off; all the while enabling their rock-star attitude. It’s fairly easy to listen to this, despite its length. In fact, you don’t want to miss it. Think of it as a notch on your belt.

With our time limitations, the 20 minute version from Warts isn’t included but we added a really fantastic cover of Rebubula by an acapala group called the MIT Chorallaries. Check out their repetoire.
